DOODLES, DRAWINGS, & PORTRAITS
May 2015 and on
This page includes a plethora of Topaz visual art that was created because I craved to do so, not because this art has much to do with her narrative or design. Other than show off some nicer examples of my artistic skill, I also include the not-so-nice examples, because I want to exemplify how ever-present in my thoughts Topaz was between the years of 2015 and 2018, especially while I was attending college. More than just doodles, I liked to use Topaz for other artistic endeavors, such as portraiture and animation (though there is only one example of a completed animation with her), since she was familiar to me and I was so intrigued by her body and her character. She even inspired some of the poetry I had written for one of my courses (one can find these poems on the "Additional Writing" page linked from the "More Art and Writing" main page, or linked from the button just below).
[Side note: that burning intrigue is a feeling I yearn to recapture through other characters or projects, but have yet to quite grasp in quite the same way as I did for Topaz. Perhaps, among other things, one of the biggest reasons is because Topaz was an emotional vent for me during college, while for other projects, I haven't needed an emotional vent to that extent.]

There's an overview in each section, and more details on each individual image should one click on or hover over them.
DOODLES
For my personal art, I will define the difference between a doodle and a drawing as whether or not I truly cared about the final composition. If I cared enough to apply the eraser more than a handful of times, it is a drawing, otherwise, it is a doodle.
I wanted to include this section on doodles to show how often Topaz was on my mind. While this section doesn't include my EVERY doodle of her (though there aren't too many more than those shown here), it proves that I thought of her every day. These doodles were scribbled during my junior and senior years of college (2015-2016). Not necessarily in chronological order.
DRAWINGS
Pieces of art on which I spent a significant amount of time (excluding portraits). This does not guarantee that they look amazing.
PORTRAITS
Busts of Topaz. There aren't many, but one of them is my favorite image of her. Ranging 2015-2018, in chronological order.
ANIMATION
There's just one animation to show. Just Topaz's head turning; for practice—it was one of the first 2D animations I did in trying to learn the craft for a longer animation that I wanted to make (it never saw the light of day; there is more about this animation in both the "Designing Topaz" and "Additional Writing" sections, which are linked from the "More Art and Writing" main page or from the top or bottom of this webpage). This animation was completed on April 8, 2018.
